Is All Fair in War?

One of the more frequent review comments we’ve received regarding War is that the game appears to be rigged in favor of the computer player.

We’re not mean people, so we would never intentionally give the computer an advantage.  However, the review comments got us thinking - maybe our code accidentally gives the computer player an advantage when shuffling the deck.

We put this assertion to the test by simulating the start of a million games to see how frequently each player started with the stronger deck.

Here are the results of our simulation:

Computer player - 48.8%
Human player - 48.7%
Even - 2.5%

It looks like the old adage is true, all is fair in War.  If you keep losing to the computer, we’re sorry to say that you might just have really bad luck.
